Five things worth knowing
The Guide
Written because the answers online are either vague on purpose or an advert with paragraphs. None of these pages will tell you that a massage rebalances your energy. Where something is unproven, it says so.
01 What a tantric massage actually is A man stood in our hallway last October, coat still on, rain still on the coat, and asked very quietly whether this was going to be a religious thing. It is still the most common first question. It usually just arrives worded more carefully. 02 Nuru or tantric, and where in London A man rang our bell one February evening, rain running off the shoulders of a very good coat, and asked — before hello, before his name — whether nuru was "the wet one". It is, more or less. But the question underneath, which of the two he ought to book, deserves a better answer than the one he got standing in the hallway, dripping on our floor. 03 What it does and does not do Most of what is written about the benefits of tantric massage is fiction, and it is written by people selling tantric massage. We also sell tantric massage. Read on with that in mind — we have simply tried to sort the claims the way we would want them sorted for us. 04 Tantric or sensual — which to book A regular asked me in January — one of those iron-grey afternoons when London gives up on lunch and goes back indoors — why we bother listing tantric and sensual as separate sessions when, in his words, the first twenty minutes feel identical. He is right about the twenty minutes. He is wrong about the sessions, and since the two cost the same with any given therapist here, the difference will cost you nothing but a few paragraphs. 05 What it costs in London £80. That is the cheapest "full tantric experience" a London listing site will show you this month, and it is quite possibly the dearest session on the page. Explaining that sentence is most of what this article is for. 06 Your first visit, step by step The most nervous first-timer I can remember arrived forty minutes early and did laps of the block until his slot — his therapist could see him passing her window, same coat, same worried circuit, four times. Ten minutes into the session he was somewhere on the border of sleep. If you are currently him, this page was written for you.

The rates page has every number on it, and the sessions page says what each one involves. Between them they answer most of what people write in to ask. Our rooms sit across Central London and the last session of the day starts at 22:00.
